Matthew 4:5-7

5 Then the devil taketh him into the holy city; and he set him on the [a]pinnacle of the temple, 6 and saith unto him, If thou art the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written,
[b]He shall give his angels charge concerning thee:
and,
On their hands they shall bear thee up,
Lest haply thou dash thy foot against a stone.
7 Jesus said unto him, Again it is written, [c]Thou shalt not make trial of the Lord thy God.

New International Version
5 Then the devil took him to the holy city(A) and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. 6 “If you are the Son of God,”(B) he said, “throw yourself down. For it is written:
“‘He will command his angels concerning you,
and they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’[a]”(C)
7 Jesus answered him, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’[b]”(D)
