^33 (A)And when they had come to a place called Golgotha, that is to say, Place of a Skull, ^34 (B)they gave Him ^[a]sour wine mingled with gall to drink. But when He had tasted it, He would not drink.

^35 (C)Then they crucified Him, and divided His garments, casting lots, ^[b]that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet:

^36 (E)Sitting down, they kept watch over Him there. ³⁷ And they ^(F)put up over His head the accusation written against Him:

THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.

^38 (G)Then two robbers were crucified with Him, one on the right and another on the left.

³⁹ And ^(H)those who passed by blasphemed Him, wagging their heads ⁴⁰ and saying, ^(I)“You who destroy the temple and build it in three days, save Yourself! ^(J)If You are the Son of God, come down from the cross.”

⁴¹ Likewise the chief priests also, mocking with the ^[c]scribes and elders, said, ⁴² “He ^(K)saved others; Himself He cannot save. ^[d]If He is the King of Israel, let Him now come down from the cross, and we will believe ^[e]Him. ^43 (L)He trusted in God; let Him deliver Him now if He will have Him; for He said, ‘I am the Son of God.’ ”

^44 (M)Even the robbers who were crucified with Him reviled Him with the same thing.

^22 (A)And they brought Him to the place Golgotha, which is translated, Place of a Skull. ^23 (B)Then they gave Him wine mingled with myrrh to drink, but He did not take it. ²⁴ And when they crucified Him, ^(C)they divided His garments, casting lots for them to determine what every man should take.

²⁵ Now ^(D)it was the third hour, and they crucified Him. ²⁶ And ^(E)the inscription of His ^[a]accusation was written above:

THE KING OF THE JEWS.

^27 (F)With Him they also crucified two robbers, one on His right and the other on His left. ^28 [b]So the Scripture was fulfilled which says, ^(G)“And He was numbered with the transgressors.”

²⁹ And ^(H)those who passed by blasphemed Him, ^(I)wagging their heads and saying, “Aha! ^(J)You who destroy the temple and build it in three days, ³⁰ save Yourself, and come down from the cross!”

³¹ Likewise the chief priests also, ^(K)mocking among themselves with the scribes, said, “He saved ^(L)others; Himself He cannot save. ³² Let the Christ, the King of Israel, descend now from the cross, that we may see and ^[c]believe.”

Even ^(M)those who were crucified with Him reviled Him.

³³ And ^(A)when they had come to the place called Calvary, there they crucified Him, and the criminals, one on the right hand and the other on the left. ^34 [a]Then Jesus said, “Father, ^(B)forgive them, for ^(C)they do not know what they do.”

And ^(D)they divided His garments and cast lots. ³⁵ And ^(E)the people stood looking on. But even the ^(F)rulers with them sneered, saying, “He saved others; let Him save Himself if He is the Christ, the chosen of God.”

³⁶ The soldiers also mocked Him, coming and offering Him ^(G)sour wine, ³⁷ and saying, “If You are the King of the Jews, save Yourself.”

^38 (H)And an inscription also was ^[b]written over Him in letters of Greek, Latin, and Hebrew:

THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS.

^39 (I)Then one of the criminals who were hanged blasphemed Him, saying, ^[c]“If You are the Christ, save Yourself and us.”

⁴⁰ But the other, answering, rebuked him, saying, “Do you not even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation? ⁴¹ And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds; but this Man has done ^(J)nothing wrong.” ⁴² Then he said ^[d]to Jesus, “Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.”

⁴³ And Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in ^(K)Paradise.”
