25 And all the people answered and[a] said, “His blood be on us and on our children!” 26 Then he released Barabbas for them, but after[b] he had Jesus flogged, he handed him[c] over so that he could be crucified.

27 Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the governor’s residence and[d] gathered the whole cohort to him.

27 Then the governor’s soldiers took Jesus into the Praetorium(D) and gathered the whole company of soldiers around him.
