⁶⁷^(A)Then they spat in his face and beat him; and those who slapped him ⁶⁸said, “Prophesy for us, Messiah! Guess who hit you!”

Matthew 26:67-68

New International Version

⁶⁷Then they spit in his face and struck him with their fists.^(A) Others slapped him ⁶⁸and said, “Prophesy to us, Messiah. Who hit you?”^(B)

⁶⁵Some of them began to spit on Jesus, and they blindfolded him and hit him. “Guess who hit you!” they said. And the guards took him and slapped him.

⁶⁵Then some began to spit at him; they blindfolded him, struck him with their fists, and said, “Prophesy!” And the guards took him and beat him.^(A)
