58 But Peter followed him from a distance to the court of the high priest, and entered in and sat with the officers, to see the end.

59 Now the chief priests, the elders, and the whole council sought false testimony against Jesus, that they might put him to death, 60 and they found none. Even though many false witnesses came forward, they found none. But at last two false witnesses came forward

New International Version

58 But Peter followed him at a distance, right up to the courtyard of the high priest.(A) He entered and sat down with the guards(B) to see the outcome.

59 The chief priests and the whole Sanhedrin(C) were looking for false evidence against Jesus so that they could put him to death. 60 But they did not find any, though many false witnesses(D) came forward.
