³⁹ Going a little farther,^[a] he fell facedown and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.”^(A)

³⁶ And he said, “Abba,^[a] Father!^(A) All things are possible^(B) for you. Take this cup^(C) away from me. Nevertheless, not what I will, but what you will.”

⁴² “Father, if you are willing, take this cup^(A) away from me—nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done.”

³⁸ For I have come down from heaven,^(A) not to do my own will, but the will of him^(B) who sent me.
