Judas Plans to Betray Jesus(A)

14 Then one of the twelve apostles, the one named Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests. 15 He asked, “What will you pay me if I hand him over to you?”

They offered him 30 silver coins. 16 From then on, he looked for a chance to betray Jesus.

Judas Agrees to Betray Jesus(A)

14 Then one of the Twelve—the one called Judas Iscariot(B)—went to the chief priests 15 and asked, “What are you willing to give me if I deliver him over to you?” So they counted out for him thirty pieces of silver.(C) 16 From then on Judas watched for an opportunity to hand him over.

Then Satan entered Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve apostles. Judas went to the chief priests and the temple guards and discussed with them how he could betray Jesus. They were pleased and agreed to give him some money. So Judas promised to do it. He kept looking for an opportunity to betray Jesus to them when there was no crowd.

They were delighted and agreed to give him money.(D) He consented, and watched for an opportunity to hand Jesus over to them when no crowd was present.
