¹⁴ “When you see the abomination that causes desolation^(A)[a] standing where it should not” (let the reader understand^[b]), “then those in Judea^(B) must flee to the mountains!

¹⁵ And He told them: “You are the ones who justify^(A) yourselves in the sight of others, but God knows your hearts.^(B) For what is highly admired by people is revolting^(C) in God’s sight.

²⁷ Nothing profane will ever enter it:^(A) no one who does what is vile or false, but only those written in the Lamb’s book of life.^(B)
