33 O serpents, the generation of vipers, how should ye escape the damnation of [a]hell!
34 [b]Wherefore behold, I send unto you Prophets, and wise men, and Scribes, and of them ye shall kill and crucify: and of them shall ye scourge in your Synagogues, and persecute from city to city,
35 [c]That upon you may come all the righteous blood that was shed upon the earth, (A)from the blood of Abel the righteous, unto the blood of Zechariah the son of [d]Berechiah, (B)whom ye slew between the Temple and the altar.

33 “You snakes! You brood of vipers!(A) How will you escape being condemned to hell?(B) 34 Therefore I am sending you prophets and sages and teachers. Some of them you will kill and crucify;(C) others you will flog in your synagogues(D) and pursue from town to town.(E) 35 And so upon you will come all the righteous blood that has been shed on earth, from the blood of righteous Abel(F) to the blood of Zechariah son of Berekiah,(G) whom you murdered between the temple and the altar.(H)
