Matthew 22:20-22

²⁰and he saith to them, `Whose [is] this image and the inscription?'

²¹they say to him, `Caesar's;' then saith he to them, `Render therefore the things of Caesar to Caesar, and the things of God to God;'

²²and having heard they wondered, and having left him they went away.

New International Version

²⁰and he asked them, “Whose image is this? And whose inscription?”

²¹“Caesar’s,” they replied.

Then he said to them, “So give back to Caesar what is Caesar’s,^(A) and to God what is God’s.”

²²When they heard this, they were amazed. So they left him and went away.^(B)
