32 Yes: John came to you, in accordance with God’s righteous covenant plan, and you didn’t believe him—but the tax-collectors and prostitutes believed him. But when you saw it, you didn’t think better of it afterwards and believe him.”

33 “Listen to another parable,” Jesus went on. “Once upon a time there was a householder who planted a vineyard, built a wall for it, dug out a wine-press in it, and built a tower. Then he let it out to tenant farmers and went away on a journey.
34 “When harvest time arrived, he sent his slaves to the farmers to collect his produce.

New International Version
32 For John came to you to show you the way of righteousness,(A) and you did not believe him, but the tax collectors(B) and the prostitutes(C) did. And even after you saw this, you did not repent(D) and believe him.
The Parable of the Tenants(E)
33 “Listen to another parable: There was a landowner who planted(F) a vineyard. He put a wall around it, dug a winepress in it and built a watchtower.(G) Then he rented the vineyard to some farmers and moved to another place.(H) 34 When the harvest time approached, he sent his servants(I) to the tenants to collect his fruit.
