²²“You don’t know what you are asking,” Jesus said to them. “Can you drink the cup^(A) I am going to drink?”

“We can,” they answered.

³You ask and do not receive, because you ask ^(A)wrongly, to spend it on your passions.

³When you ask, you do not receive,^(A) because you ask with wrong motives,^(B) that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.
