⁹ As they were coming down from the mountain, Jesus commanded them,^(A) “Don’t tell anyone about the vision until the Son of Man is raised^[a] from the dead.”

²³ They will kill Him, and on the third day He will be raised up.” And they were deeply distressed.

His Death and Resurrection Predicted

³¹ Then^(A) He began to teach them that the Son of Man^(B) must suffer many things and be rejected^(C) by the elders,^(D) the chief priests, and the scribes,^(E) be killed, and rise^(F) after three days.^(G)

³¹ For He was teaching^(A) His disciples and telling them, “The Son of Man^(B) is being betrayed^[a] into the hands of men. They will kill Him, and after He is killed, He will rise^(C) three days later.”^(D)
