2 And said unto his servants, This is that John Baptist, he is risen again from the dead, and therefore great [a]works are wrought by him.
3 (A)For Herod had taken John, and bound him, and put him in prison for Herodias’ sake, his brother Philip’s wife.
4 For John said unto him, It is not (B)lawful for thee to have her.

New International Version
2 and he said to his attendants, “This is John the Baptist;(A) he has risen from the dead! That is why miraculous powers are at work in him.”
3 Now Herod had arrested John and bound him and put him in prison(B) because of Herodias, his brother Philip’s wife,(C) 4 for John had been saying to him: “It is not lawful for you to have her.”(D)
