Why Jesus Used Parables^(A)

³⁴ Jesus told the crowds all these things in parables. He did not tell them anything without using^[a] a parable. ³⁵ This was to fulfill what was declared by the prophet^[b] when he said,

Jesus Explains the Parable about the Weeds

³⁶ Then Jesus^[e] left the crowds and went into the house. His disciples came to him and asked, “Explain to us the parable about the weeds in the field.”
