34 ¶ (A)All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables, and without parables spake he not unto them,
35 That it might be fulfilled, which was spoken by the Prophet, saying, (B)I will open my mouth in parables, and will utter the things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.
36 Then sent Jesus the multitude away, and went into the house. And his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of that field.

34 Jesus spoke all these things to the crowd in parables; he did not say anything to them without using a parable.(A) 35 So was fulfilled(B) what was spoken through the prophet:
“I will open my mouth in parables,
I will utter things hidden since the creation of the world.”[a](C)

36 Then he left the crowd and went into the house. His disciples came to him and said, “Explain to us the parable(D) of the weeds in the field.”
