³⁴^(A)All these things Jesus spoke to the multitude in parables; and without a parable He did not speak to them,

New International Version

³⁴Jesus spoke all these things to the crowd in parables; he did not say anything to them without using a parable.^(A)

³⁵that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying:

^(A)“I will open My mouth in parables;
^(B)I will utter things kept secret from the foundation of the world.”

³⁵So was fulfilled^(A) what was spoken through the prophet:

“I will open my mouth in parables,
I will utter things hidden since the creation of the world.”^[a]^(B)
