The Parable of the Mustard Seed^(A)

³¹ Another parable He put forth to them, saying: ^(B)“The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field,

³² which indeed is the least of all the seeds; but when it is grown it is greater than the herbs and becomes a ^(A)tree, so that the birds of the air come and nest in its branches.”

^18 (B)Then He said, “What is the kingdom of God like? And to what shall I compare it?

¹⁹ It is like a mustard seed, which a man took and put in his garden; and it grew and became a ^[a]large tree, and the birds of the air nested in its branches.”

⁴¹ Then those who ^[a]gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them.
