Matthew 12:4-6
The Voice
4 they went into God’s house and they ate the holy bread, even though neither David nor his friends, but only priests, were allowed that bread. 5 Indeed, have you not read that on the Sabbath priests themselves do work in the temple, breaking the Sabbath law yet remaining blameless? 6 Listen, One who is greater than the temple is here.
Matthew 12:4-6
New International Version
4 He entered the house of God, and he and his companions ate the consecrated bread—which was not lawful for them to do, but only for the priests.(A) 5 Or haven’t you read in the Law that the priests on Sabbath duty in the temple desecrate the Sabbath(B) and yet are innocent? 6 I tell you that something greater than the temple is here.(C)
