^24 (A)No disciple is above his teacher, no slave above his master. ²⁵ It is enough for the disciple that he become like his teacher, for the slave that he become like his master. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebul,^[a] how much more those of his household!

¹⁶ Amen, amen, I say to you, no slave is greater than his master nor any messenger^[a] greater than the one who sent him.^(A)

²⁰ Remember the word I spoke to you,^[a] ‘No slave is greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they kept my word, they will also keep yours.^(A)
