^19 (A)But when they hand you over, ^(B)do not worry about how or what you are to say; for it will be given you in that hour what you are to say. ²⁰ For ^(C)it is not you who speak, but it is the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you.

²¹ “^(D)Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child; and ^(E)children will rise up against parents and ^[a]cause them to be put to death. ^22 (F)You will be hated by all because of My name, but ^(G)it is the one who has endured to the end who will be saved.

¹² “But before all these things, ^(A)they will lay their hands on you and will persecute you, delivering you to the synagogues and prisons, ^[a]bringing you before kings and governors for My name’s sake. ^13 (B)It will lead to ^[b]an opportunity for your testimony. ^14 (C)So make up your minds not to prepare beforehand to defend yourselves; ¹⁵ for ^(D)I will give you ^[c]utterance and wisdom which none of your opponents will be able to resist or refute. ¹⁶ But you will be betrayed even by parents and brothers and relatives and friends, and they will put some of you to death, ¹⁷ and you will be hated by all because of My name.
