Ang Paglubong kay Jesus(A)
57 Pagkahapon may nag-abot nga isa ka manggaranon nga tawo nga taga-Arimatea. Ang iya ngalan si Jose kag isa man ka sumulunod ni Jesus. 58 Ginkadtuan niya si Pilato kag ginpangayo ang bangkay ni Jesus. Dayon nagmando si Pilato nga ihatag sa iya. 59 Ginkuha ni Jose ang bangkay ni Jesus kag ginsamburan niya sang bag-o nga tela nga linen. 60 May bag-o nga lulubngan si Jose nga gin-guhab sa banglid nga iya ginpahimo para sa iya kaugalingon. Didto niya ginbutang ang bangkay ni Jesus. Dayon ginpaligid niya ang dako nga bato sa pagtakop sang puwertahan sang lulubngan. Pagkatapos naglakat siya. 61 Nagpabilin didto si Maria nga taga-Magdala kag ang isa pa gid ka Maria. Nagapungko sila nga nagaatubang sa lulubngan.

57 As evening approached, there came a rich man from Arimathea, named Joseph, who had himself become a disciple of Jesus. 58 Going to Pilate, he asked for Jesus’ body, and Pilate ordered that it be given to him. 59 Joseph took the body, wrapped it in a clean linen cloth, 60 and placed it in his own new tomb(B) that he had cut out of the rock. He rolled a big stone in front of the entrance to the tomb and went away. 61 Mary Magdalene and the other Mary were sitting there opposite the tomb.

50-51 May isa ka tawo nga ang iya ngalan si Jose nga taga-Arimatea nga sakop sang Judea. Miyembro siya sang Korte sang mga Judio, pero wala siya nagsugot sa ila plano sa pagpatay kay Jesus. Maayo kag matarong siya nga tawo, kag nagapaabot siya sa paghari sang Dios. 52 Nagkadto siya kay Pilato kag ginpangayo niya ang bangkay ni Jesus. 53 Dayon ginkuha niya ang bangkay ni Jesus sa krus kag ginsamburan sang tela nga linen. Ginbutang niya ang bangkay sa lulubngan nga gin-guhab sa banglid nga wala pa gid malubngi. 54 Biyernes sadto kag adlaw sang pagpreparar para sa Adlaw nga Inugpahuway.
55 Ang mga babayi nga nag-upod kay Jesus halin sa Galilea nagsunod man kay Jose kag nakita nila ang ginlubngan kag kon paano ang pagbutang sang bangkay ni Jesus. 56 Dayon nagpauli sila kag nagpreparar sing mga pahamot nga inughaplas sa bangkay ni Jesus.
Pero sa Adlaw nga Inugpahuway, nagpahuway sila suno sa Kasuguan.

50 Now there was a man named Joseph, a member of the Council, a good and upright man, 51 who had not consented to their decision and action. He came from the Judean town of Arimathea, and he himself was waiting for the kingdom of God.(B) 52 Going to Pilate, he asked for Jesus’ body. 53 Then he took it down, wrapped it in linen cloth and placed it in a tomb cut in the rock, one in which no one had yet been laid. 54 It was Preparation Day,(C) and the Sabbath was about to begin.
55 The women who had come with Jesus from Galilee(D) followed Joseph and saw the tomb and how his body was laid in it. 56 Then they went home and prepared spices and perfumes.(E) But they rested on the Sabbath in obedience to the commandment.(F)

38 Pagkatapos sadto, nagkadto si Jose nga taga-Arimatea kay Pilato kag naglisensya nga kon mahimo tugutan siya nga kuhaon niya ang bangkay ni Jesus didto sa krus. (Si Jose nga ini isa sa mga sumulunod ni Jesus, pero sa sekreto lang kay nahadlok siya sa mga lider sang mga Judio.) Gintugutan siya ni Pilato, gani ginkuha niya ang bangkay ni Jesus. 39 Nag-upod man sa iya si Nicodemus. (Si Nicodemus nga ini nagkadto anay kay Jesus isa sadto ka gab-i.) May dala siya nga pahamot nga ginmiksla nga mira kag aloe, nga mga 45 ka kilo. 40 Ginkuha nila ang bangkay ni Jesus kag ila ini ginsamburan sang mga tela nga linen upod sang mga pahamot. Kay amo ini ang kinabatasan sang mga Judio kon maglubong sang patay. 41 Didto sa lugar nga sa diin ginlansang si Jesus may katamnan, kag didto may isa ka bag-o nga lulubngan nga gin-guhab sa banglid[a] nga wala pa gid malubngi. 42 Kag tungod nga bisperas na sang piesta sang mga Judio, kag tungod kay malapit man lang ato nga lulubngan, didto na lang nila ginlubong si Jesus.

The Burial of Jesus(A)
38 Later, Joseph of Arimathea asked Pilate for the body of Jesus. Now Joseph was a disciple of Jesus, but secretly because he feared the Jewish leaders.(B) With Pilate’s permission, he came and took the body away. 39 He was accompanied by Nicodemus,(C) the man who earlier had visited Jesus at night. Nicodemus brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about seventy-five pounds.[a] 40 Taking Jesus’ body, the two of them wrapped it, with the spices, in strips of linen.(D) This was in accordance with Jewish burial customs.(E) 41 At the place where Jesus was crucified, there was a garden, and in the garden a new tomb, in which no one had ever been laid. 42 Because it was the Jewish day of Preparation(F) and since the tomb was nearby,(G) they laid Jesus there.
