Ang Pulong Sang Dios
Nagpangayo sang Milagro ang mga Pariseo kag mga Saduceo(A)
16 May mga Pariseo kag mga Saduceo nga nagpalapit kay Jesus sa pagtilaw sa iya. Nagpangabay sila sa iya nga magpakita siya sang milagro halin sa Dios[a] bilang pamatuod nga ginpadala siya sang Dios. 2 Nagsiling si Jesus sa ila, “Kon nagasalop ang adlaw kag ang langit mapula, nagasiling kamo nga ‘Maayo ang tiyempo buwas.’ 3 Kag kon aga pa kag ang langit magal-om, nagasiling kamo nga ‘Maulan subong nga adlaw.’ Nahibaluan ninyo kon magaulan ukon indi paagi sa pagtan-aw sa langit, pero indi kamo kahibalo sang kahulugan sang mga nagakalatabo subong. 4 Kamo nga mga tawo sa sini nga henerasyon, tama kalaot kag indi matutom sa pagsunod sa Dios. Nagapangayo kamo sing milagro, pero wala sing milagro nga ipakita sa inyo luwas sa milagro nga pareho sang natabo kay Jonas.” Dayon naghalin siya.

The Demand for a Sign(A)
16 The Pharisees and Sadducees(B) came to Jesus and tested him by asking him to show them a sign from heaven.(C)
2 He replied, “When evening comes, you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red,’ 3 and in the morning, ‘Today it will be stormy, for the sky is red and overcast.’ You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times.[a](D) 4 A wicked and adulterous generation looks for a sign, but none will be given it except the sign of Jonah.”(E) Jesus then left them and went away.

29 Samtang nagadamo pa gid ang mga tawo nga nagatilipon kay Jesus, nagsiling siya, “Kamo nga mga tawo sa sini nga henerasyon tama kalaot. Nagapangayo kamo sang milagro bilang pamatuod nga ginpadala ako sang Dios. Pero wala sing milagro nga ipakita sa inyo luwas sa milagro nga pareho sang natabo kay Jonas. 30 Subong nga si Jonas nangin tanda sa mga taga-Nineve, ang matabo sa akon nga Anak sang Tawo mangin tanda man sa inyo. 31 Sa adlaw sang paghukom, mabanhaw[a] ang Rayna sang Bagatnan[b] upod sa inyo nga mga tawo sa sini nga henerasyon kag basulon niya kamo. Kay naghalin pa siya sa malayo gid nga lugar[c] sa pagpamati sa kaalam ni Haring Solomon. Karon may ari diri nga labaw pa kay Solomon, pero wala kamo nagpamati sa iya. 32 Sa adlaw sang paghukom, mabanhaw man ang mga taga-Nineve upod sa inyo nga mga tawo sa sini nga henerasyon kag basulon man nila kamo. Kay pagkabati sang mga taga-Nineve sadto sang wali ni Jonas, naghinulsol sila. Karon may ari diri nga labaw pa kay Jonas, pero wala kamo naghinulsol sang nagwali siya sa inyo.”

The Sign of Jonah(A)
29 As the crowds increased, Jesus said, “This is a wicked generation. It asks for a sign,(B) but none will be given it except the sign of Jonah.(C) 30 For as Jonah was a sign to the Ninevites, so also will the Son of Man be to this generation. 31 The Queen of the South will rise at the judgment with the people of this generation and condemn them, for she came from the ends of the earth to listen to Solomon’s wisdom;(D) and now something greater than Solomon is here. 32 The men of Nineveh will stand up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it, for they repented at the preaching of Jonah;(E) and now something greater than Jonah is here.
