69 Pulumutseni Inu Mulungu,
pakuti madzi afika mʼkhosi
2 Ine ndikumira mʼthope lozama
mʼmene mulibe popondapo.
Ndalowa mʼmadzi ozama;
mafunde andimiza.
3 Ndafowoka ndikupempha chithandizo;
kummero kwanga kwawuma gwaa,
mʼmaso mwanga mwada
kuyembekezera Mulungu wanga.
4 Iwo amene amadana nane popanda chifukwa
ndi ochuluka kuposa tsitsi la kumutu kwanga;
ambiri ndi adani anga popanda chifukwa,
iwo amene akufunafuna kundiwononga.
Ndikukakamizidwa kubwezera
zomwe sindinabe.
5 Mukudziwa uchitsiru wanga, Inu Mulungu,
kulakwa kwanga sikuli kobisika kwa Inu.
6 Iwo amene amadalira Inu
asanyozedwe chifukwa cha ine,
Inu Ambuye Wamphamvuzonse.
Iwo amene amafunafuna Inu
asachititsidwe manyazi chifukwa cha ine,
Inu Mulungu wa Israeli.
7 Pakuti ndimapirira kunyozedwa chifukwa cha Inu,
ndipo manyazi amaphimba nkhope yanga.
8 Ndine mlendo kwa abale anga,
munthu wakudza kwa ana aamuna a amayi anga;
9 pakuti changu chochitira nyumba yanu chandiphetsa
ndipo chipongwe cha iwo amene amanyoza Inu chandigwera.
10 Pamene ndikulira ndi kusala kudya,
ndiyenera kupirira kunyozedwa;
11 pomwe ndavala chiguduli,
anthu amandiseweretsa.
12 Iwo amene amakhala pa chipata amandinena,
ndipo ine ndine nyimbo ya zidakwa.
13 Koma ndikupempha kwa Inu Ambuye,
pa nthawi yanu yondikomera mtima;
mwa chikondi chanu chachikulu
Inu Mulungu, mundiyankhe pondipulumutsa.
14 Mundilanditse kuchoka mʼmatope,
musalole kuti ndimire,
pulumutseni ine kwa iwo
amene amadana nane, kuchoka mʼmadzi ozama.
15 Musalole kuti chigumula chindimeze,
kuya kusandimeze
ndipo dzenje lisatseke pakamwa pake kundimiza.
16 Ndiyankheni Inu Yehova mwa ubwino wanu wa chikondi chanu;
mwa chifundo chanu chachikulu tembenukirani kwa ine.
17 Musabisire nkhope yanu mtumiki wanu,
ndiyankheni msanga, pakuti ndili pa mavuto.
18 Bwerani pafupi ndi kundilanditsa;
ndiwomboleni chifukwa cha adani anga.
19 Inu mukudziwa momwe ndanyozedwera,
kunyozedwa ndi kuchititsidwa manyazi; adani anga onse ali pamaso panu.
20 Mnyozo waswa mtima wanga
ndipo wandisiya wopanda thandizo lililonse;
ndinafunafuna ena woti andichitire chisoni,
koma panalibe ndi mmodzi yemwe woti anditonthoze, sindinapeze ndi mmodzi yemwe.
21 Iwo anayika ndulu mʼchakudya changa
ndi kundipatsa vinyo wosasa chifukwa cha ludzu.
22 Chakudya chomwe chayikidwa patsogolo pawo chikhale msampha;
chikhale chobwezera chilango ndiponso khwekhwe.
23 Maso awo adetsedwe kotero kuti asaonenso
ndipo misana yawo ipindike mpaka kalekale.
24 Khuthulirani ukali wanu pa iwo;
mkwiyo wanu woyaka moto uwathe mphamvu.
25 Malo awo akhale wopanda anthu
pasapezeke ndi mmodzi yemwe wokhala mʼmatenti awo.
26 Pakuti iwo amazunza amene inu munamuvulaza
ndi kuyankhula zowawa kwa amene munawapweteka.
27 Awonjezereni kulakwa pa kulakwa kwawo,
musalole kuti akhale ndi gawo pa chipulumutso chanu.
28 Iwo afufutidwe mʼbuku la amoyo
ndipo asalembedwe pamodzi ndi olungama.
29 Ndikumva zowawa ndi kuzunzika;
lolani chipulumutso chanu, Inu Mulungu, chinditeteze.
30 Ine ndidzatamanda dzina la Mulungu mʼnyimbo,
ndidzalemekeza Iye ndi chiyamiko.
31 Izi zidzakondweretsa Yehova kupambana ngʼombe,
kupambananso ngʼombe yayimuna, pamodzi ndi nyanga ndi ziboda zake.
32 Wosauka adzaona ndipo adzasangalala,
Inu amene mumafunafuna Mulungu, mitima yanu ikhale ndi moyo!
33 Yehova amamvera anthu osowa
ndipo sanyoza anthu ake omangidwa.
34 Kumwamba ndi dziko lapansi zitamanda Iye,
nyanja ndi zonse zomwe zimayenda mʼmenemo,
35 pakuti Mulungu adzapulumutsa Ziyoni
ndi kumanganso mizinda ya Yuda,
anthu adzakhala kumeneko ndipo dzikolo lidzakhala lawo;
36 ana atumiki ake adzalitenga kukhala cholowa chawo,
ndipo iwo amene amakonda dzina lake adzakhala kumeneko.

1 Save me, O God,
for the waters(A) have come up to my neck.(B)
2 I sink in the miry depths,(C)
where there is no foothold.
I have come into the deep waters;
the floods engulf me.
3 I am worn out calling for help;(D)
my throat is parched.
My eyes fail,(E)
looking for my God.
4 Those who hate me(F) without reason(G)
outnumber the hairs of my head;
many are my enemies without cause,(H)
those who seek to destroy me.(I)
I am forced to restore
what I did not steal.
6 Lord, the Lord Almighty,
may those who hope in you
not be disgraced because of me;
God of Israel,
may those who seek you
not be put to shame because of me.
7 For I endure scorn(L) for your sake,(M)
and shame covers my face.(N)
8 I am a foreigner to my own family,
a stranger to my own mother’s children;(O)
9 for zeal for your house consumes me,(P)
and the insults of those who insult you fall on me.(Q)
10 When I weep and fast,(R)
I must endure scorn;
11 when I put on sackcloth,(S)
people make sport of me.
12 Those who sit at the gate(T) mock me,
and I am the song of the drunkards.(U)
13 But I pray to you, Lord,
in the time of your favor;(V)
in your great love,(W) O God,
answer me with your sure salvation.
14 Rescue me from the mire,
do not let me sink;
deliver me from those who hate me,
from the deep waters.(X)
15 Do not let the floodwaters(Y) engulf me
or the depths swallow me up(Z)
or the pit close its mouth over me.(AA)
16 Answer me, Lord, out of the goodness of your love;(AB)
in your great mercy turn to me.
17 Do not hide your face(AC) from your servant;
answer me quickly,(AD) for I am in trouble.(AE)
18 Come near and rescue me;
deliver(AF) me because of my foes.
19 You know how I am scorned,(AG) disgraced and shamed;
all my enemies are before you.
20 Scorn has broken my heart
and has left me helpless;
I looked for sympathy, but there was none,
for comforters,(AH) but I found none.(AI)
21 They put gall in my food
and gave me vinegar(AJ) for my thirst.(AK)
22 May the table set before them become a snare;
may it become retribution and[b] a trap.(AL)
23 May their eyes be darkened so they cannot see,
and their backs be bent forever.(AM)
24 Pour out your wrath(AN) on them;
let your fierce anger overtake them.
25 May their place be deserted;(AO)
let there be no one to dwell in their tents.(AP)
26 For they persecute those you wound
and talk about the pain of those you hurt.(AQ)
27 Charge them with crime upon crime;(AR)
do not let them share in your salvation.(AS)
28 May they be blotted out of the book of life(AT)
and not be listed with the righteous.(AU)
29 But as for me, afflicted and in pain—
may your salvation, God, protect me.(AV)
30 I will praise God’s name in song(AW)
and glorify him(AX) with thanksgiving.
31 This will please the Lord more than an ox,
more than a bull with its horns and hooves.(AY)
32 The poor will see and be glad(AZ)—
you who seek God, may your hearts live!(BA)
33 The Lord hears the needy(BB)
and does not despise his captive people.
