27 Yehova ndiye kuwunika kwanga ndi chipulumutso changa;
ndidzaopa yani?
Yehova ndi linga la moyo wanga;
ndidzachita mantha ndi yani?
2 Pamene anthu oyipa abwera kudzalimbana nane
kudzadya mnofu wanga,
pamene adani anga ndi achiwembu andithira nkhondo,
iwo adzapunthwa ndi kugwa.
3 Ngakhale gulu lankhondo lindizinge,
mtima wanga sudzaopa.
Ngakhale nkhondo itayambika kulimbana nane,
ngakhale nthawi imeneyo, ine ndidzalimbika mtima.
4 Chinthu chimodzi chokha chimene ndipempha kwa Yehova,
ichi ndi chimene ndidzachifunafuna:
kuti ndikhale mʼNyumba ya Yehova
masiku onse a moyo wanga,
ndi kuyangʼana kukongola kwa Yehova,
ndi kumufunafuna Iye mʼNyumba yake.
5 Pakuti pa tsiku la msautso
Iye adzanditeteza mʼmalo ake okhalamo;
adzandibisa mʼkati mwa Nyumba yake
ndi kukhazika ine pamwamba pa thanthwe.
6 Kotero mutu wanga udzakwezedwa
kuposa adani anga amene andizungulira;
pa Nyumba yake ndidzapereka nsembe ndi mfuwu wachimwemwe;
ndidzayimba nyimbo kwa Yehova.
7 Imvani mawu anga pamene ndiyitana Inu Yehova
mundichitire chifundo ndipo mundiyankhe.
8 Mtima wanga ukuti kwa Inu, “Funafuna nkhope yake!”
Nkhope yanu Yehova ndidzayifunafuna.
9 Musandibisire nkhope yanu,
musamubweze mtumiki wanu mwamkwiyo;
mwakhala muli thandizo langa.
Musandikane kapena kunditaya,
Inu Mulungu Mpulumutsi wanga.
10 Ngakhale abambo ndi amayi anga anditaya
Yehova adzandisamala.
11 Phunzitseni njira yanu Inu Yehova,
munditsogolere mʼnjira yowongoka
chifukwa cha ondizunza.
12 Musandipereke ku zokhumba za adani anga,
pakuti mboni zambiri zauka kutsutsana nane
ndipo zikundiopseza.
13 Ine ndikutsimikiza mtima za zimenezi;
ndidzaona ubwino wa Yehova
mʼdziko la anthu amoyo.
14 Dikirani pa Yehova;
khalani anyonga ndipo limbani mtima
nimudikire Yehova.

Of David.
1 The Lord is my light(A) and my salvation(B)—
whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold(C) of my life—
of whom shall I be afraid?(D)
2 When the wicked advance against me
to devour[a] me,
it is my enemies and my foes
who will stumble and fall.(E)
3 Though an army besiege me,
my heart will not fear;(F)
though war break out against me,
even then I will be confident.(G)
4 One thing(H) I ask from the Lord,
this only do I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,(I)
to gaze on the beauty of the Lord
and to seek him in his temple.
5 For in the day of trouble(J)
he will keep me safe(K) in his dwelling;
he will hide me(L) in the shelter of his sacred tent
and set me high upon a rock.(M)
6 Then my head will be exalted(N)
above the enemies who surround me;(O)
at his sacred tent I will sacrifice(P) with shouts of joy;(Q)
I will sing(R) and make music(S) to the Lord.
7 Hear my voice(T) when I call, Lord;
be merciful to me and answer me.(U)
8 My heart says of you, “Seek his face!(V)”
Your face, Lord, I will seek.
9 Do not hide your face(W) from me,
do not turn your servant away in anger;(X)
you have been my helper.(Y)
Do not reject me or forsake(Z) me,
God my Savior.(AA)
10 Though my father and mother forsake me,
the Lord will receive me.
11 Teach me your way,(AB) Lord;
lead me in a straight path(AC)
because of my oppressors.(AD)
12 Do not turn me over to the desire of my foes,
for false witnesses(AE) rise up against me,
spouting malicious accusations.
