New Matthew Bible

47 So also if your eye causes you to offend, tear it out. It is better for you to go into the kingdom of God with one eye than, having two eyes, to be cast into hell fire, 48 where their worm dies not and the fire never goes out.

49 Every man therefore must be salted with fire. And every sacrifice must be seasoned with salt.

47 And if your eye causes you to stumble,(A) pluck it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into hell,(B) 48 where

“‘the worms that eat them do not die,
    and the fire is not quenched.’[a](C)

49 Everyone will be salted(D) with fire.
