35 Sitting down, He called the twelve and *said to them, “(A)If anyone wants to be first, [a]he shall be last of all and servant of all.” 36 Taking a child, He set him [b]before them, and taking him in His arms, He said to them, 37 “(B)Whoever receives [c]one child like this in My name receives Me; and whoever receives Me does not receive Me, but Him who sent Me.”

36 He took a little child whom he placed among them. Taking the child in his arms,(B) he said to them, 37 “Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me does not welcome me but the one who sent me.”(C)
