33 (A)And Jesus took him aside from the crowd, by himself, and put His fingers into his ears, and after (B)spitting, He touched his tongue; 34 and looking up to heaven with a (C)sigh, He *said to him, “Ephphatha!” that is, “Be opened!” 35 And his ears were opened, and the [a]impediment of his tongue [b]was removed, and he began speaking plainly.

Then he spit(A) and touched the man’s tongue. 34 He looked up to heaven(B) and with a deep sigh(C) said to him, “Ephphatha!” (which means “Be opened!”). 35 At this, the man’s ears were opened, his tongue was loosened and he began to speak plainly.(D)
