6 And he marveled at their unbelief, (A)and went about by the towns on every side, teaching.
7 ¶ (B)[a]And he called unto him the twelve, and began to send them forth two and two, and gave them power over unclean spirits,
8 [b]And commanded them that they should take nothing for their journey, save a staff only: neither scrip, neither bread, neither money in their girdles:

6 He was amazed at their lack of faith.
Jesus Sends Out the Twelve(A)
Then Jesus went around teaching from village to village.(B) 7 Calling the Twelve to him,(C) he began to send them out two by two(D) and gave them authority over impure spirits.(E)
8 These were his instructions: “Take nothing for the journey except a staff—no bread, no bag, no money in your belts.
