46 Then as soon as he had sent [a]them away, he departed into a mountain to pray.
47 (A)And when even was come, the ship was in the midst of the sea, and he alone on the land.
48 And he saw them troubled in rowing, (for the wind was contrary unto them) and about the fourth watch of the night, he came unto them, walking upon the sea, and would have passed by them.

47 Later that night, the boat was in the middle of the lake, and he was alone on land. 48 He saw the disciples straining at the oars, because the wind was against them. Shortly before dawn he went out to them, walking on the lake. He was about to pass by them,
