¹⁸if they pick up snakes or drink any poison, they will not be harmed; they will place their hands on sick people, and these will get well.”

¹⁹^(B)After the Lord Jesus had talked with them, he was taken up to heaven and sat at the right side of God. ²⁰The disciples went and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and proved that their preaching was true by the miracles that were performed.]

New International Version

¹⁸they will pick up snakes^(A) with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on^(B) sick people, and they will get well.”

¹⁹After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven^(C) and he sat at the right hand of God.^(D) ²⁰Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs^(E) that accompanied it.
