17 These miracles will happen when people believe in me. On my behalf, they will send bad spirits out of people. They will speak new languages. 18 If they pick up a snake, it will not hurt them. If they drink poison, it will not hurt them. They will put their hands on ill people, and God will make those people well.’
Jesus goes up to heaven
19 So, after the Lord Jesus had spoken to the disciples, God took him up into heaven. There he sat down at the right side of God.

17 And these signs(A) will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons;(B) they will speak in new tongues;(C) 18 they will pick up snakes(D) with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on(E) sick people, and they will get well.”
19 After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven(F) and he sat at the right hand of God.(G)
