41 who, when He was in Galilee, were following Him and [a](A)serving Him; and there were many other women who came up with Him to Jerusalem.

42 (B)And when evening had already come, because it was [b](C)Preparation day, that is, the day before the Sabbath, 43 Joseph of Arimathea came, a (D)prominent [c]Council member, who himself was (E)waiting for the kingdom of God; and he (F)gathered up courage and went in before Pilate, and asked for the body of Jesus.

41 In Galilee these women had followed him and cared for his needs. Many other women who had come up with him to Jerusalem were also there.(A)

42 It was Preparation Day (that is, the day before the Sabbath).(C) So as evening approached, 43 Joseph of Arimathea, a prominent member of the Council,(D) who was himself waiting for the kingdom of God,(E) went boldly to Pilate and asked for Jesus’ body.
