Mark 15:41-43

41 who used to follow[a] him and serve him when he was in Galilee, and many other women who went up with him to Jerusalem.

42 And when it[b] was already evening, since it was the day of preparation (that is, the day before the Sabbath), 43 Joseph of Arimathea, a prominent member of the council who was also himself looking forward to[c] the kingdom of God, came acting courageously and[d] went in to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus.

41 In Galilee these women had followed him and cared for his needs. Many other women who had come up with him to Jerusalem were also there.(A)

42 It was Preparation Day (that is, the day before the Sabbath).(C) So as evening approached, 43 Joseph of Arimathea, a prominent member of the Council,(D) who was himself waiting for the kingdom of God,(E) went boldly to Pilate and asked for Jesus’ body.
