22 They took Jesus[a] to a place called Golgotha, which means Skull Place. 23 They tried to give him wine mixed with myrrh, but he wouldn’t accept it. 24 Then they crucified him. They divided his clothes among themselves by throwing dice to see what each one would get.

22 They brought Jesus to the place called Golgotha (which means “the place of the skull”). 23 Then they offered him wine mixed with myrrh,(A) but he did not take it. 24 And they crucified him. Dividing up his clothes, they cast lots(B) to see what each would get.
