29 Peter(A) told Him, “Even if everyone runs away, I will certainly not!”
30 “I assure you,” Jesus said to him, “today, this very night, before the rooster crows twice, you will deny Me three times!”(B)
31 But he kept insisting, “If I have to die with You, I will never deny You!” And they all said the same thing.

30 “Truly I tell you,” Jesus answered, “today—yes, tonight—before the rooster crows twice[a] you yourself will disown me three times.”(A)
31 But Peter insisted emphatically, “Even if I have to die with you,(B) I will never disown you.” And all the others said the same.
