9 But take ye heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to the Councils, and to the Synagogues: ye shall be beaten, and brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a [a]testimonial unto them.
10 And the Gospel must first be published among all nations.
11 (A)But when they lead you, and deliver you up, [b]be not careful before hand, [c]neither study what ye shall say: but what is given you at the same time, that speak: for it is not you that speak, but the holy Ghost.

- Mark 13:9 The hearing of you preaching shall be a most evident witness against them, so that they shall not be able to pretend ignorance.

9 “You must be on your guard. You will be handed over to the local councils and flogged in the synagogues.(A) On account of me you will stand before governors and kings as witnesses to them. 10 And the gospel must first be preached to all nations. 11 Whenever you are arrested and brought to trial, do not worry beforehand about what to say. Just say whatever is given you at the time, for it is not you speaking, but the Holy Spirit.(B)
