44 and whoever wants to be first among you must be a slave(A) to all. 45 For even the Son of Man(B) did not come to be served, but to serve,(C) and to give His life(D)—a ransom(E) for many.”[a](F)
A Blind Man Healed
46 They(G) came to Jericho.(H) And as He was leaving Jericho with His disciples and a large crowd, Bartimaeus (the son of Timaeus), a blind(I) beggar,(J) was sitting by the road.(K)

Blind Bartimaeus Receives His Sight(C)
46 Then they came to Jericho. As Jesus and his disciples, together with a large crowd, were leaving the city, a blind man, Bartimaeus (which means “son of Timaeus”), was sitting by the roadside begging.
