2 Peter 1:17-21
Legacy Standard Bible
17 For when He received honor and glory from God the Father, such an [a](A)utterance as this was [b]made to Him by the (B)Majestic Glory, “This is My beloved Son with whom I am well-pleased”— 18 and we ourselves heard this [c]utterance made from heaven when we were with Him on the (C)holy mountain.
19 [d]And we have as more (D)sure (E)the prophetic word, to which you do well to pay attention as to (F)a lamp shining in a dark place, until the (G)day dawns and the (H)morning star arises (I)in your hearts. 20 (J)Know this first of all, that (K)no prophecy of Scripture comes by one’s own interpretation. 21 For (L)no prophecy was ever made by the will of man, but men being (M)moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.

2 Peter 1:17-21
New International Version
17 He received honor and glory from God the Father when the voice came to him from the Majestic Glory, saying, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.”[a](A) 18 We ourselves heard this voice that came from heaven when we were with him on the sacred mountain.(B)
19 We also have the prophetic message as something completely reliable,(C) and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light(D) shining in a dark place, until the day dawns(E) and the morning star(F) rises in your hearts.(G) 20 Above all, you must understand(H) that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation of things. 21 For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God(I) as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.(J)
