Luke 4:37-39 New English Translation

³⁷So^[a] the news^[b] about him spread into all areas of the region.^[c]

³⁸After Jesus left^[d] the synagogue, he entered Simon’s house.^[e] Now Simon’s mother-in-law was suffering from a high fever, and they asked Jesus^[f] to help her.^[g] ³⁹So^[h] he stood over her, commanded^[i] the fever, and it left her. Immediately^[j] she got up and began to serve^[k] them.
