Jairus, a Synagogue Official, Comes To Jesus About His Dying Daughter
40 And during Jesus’ returning, the crowd welcomed Him, for they were all expecting Him. 41 And behold— a man came, for whom the name was Jairus. And this one was an official[a] of the synagogue. And having fallen at[b] the feet of Jesus, he was begging Him to enter into his house, 42 because there was an only-born daughter to him, about twelve years old, and she was dying.

Jesus Raises a Dead Girl and Heals a Sick Woman(A)
40 Now when Jesus returned, a crowd welcomed him, for they were all expecting him. 41 Then a man named Jairus, a synagogue leader,(B) came and fell at Jesus’ feet, pleading with him to come to his house 42 because his only daughter, a girl of about twelve, was dying.
As Jesus was on his way, the crowds almost crushed him.
