Luke 4:8-10

8 Jesus answered, “The Scriptures say,
‘You must worship the Lord your God.
Serve only him.’” (A)
9 Then the devil led Jesus to Jerusalem and put him on a high place at the edge of the Temple area. He said to him, “If you are the Son of God, jump off! 10 The Scriptures say,
‘God will command his angels
to take care of you.’ (B)

8 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God and serve him only.’[a]”(A)
9 The devil led him to Jerusalem and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. “If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down from here. 10 For it is written:
“‘He will command his angels concerning you
to guard you carefully;
