Luke 4:18-20
Christian Standard Bible
18 The Spirit of the Lord is on me,
because he has anointed me
to preach good news to the poor.
He has sent me[a]
to proclaim release[b] to the captives
and recovery of sight to the blind,
to set free the oppressed,
19 to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.[c](A)
20 He then rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant, and sat down.(B) And the eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fixed on him.

18 “The Spirit of the Lord is on me,(A)

to proclaim good news(B) to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners
and recovery of sight for the blind,
to set the oppressed free,
19 to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”[a](C)
20 Then he rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant and sat down.(D) The eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fastened on him.
