47 (A)Now when the centurion saw what had happened, he began (B)praising God, saying, “Certainly this man was [a]innocent.” 48 And all the crowds who came together for this spectacle, when they observed what had happened, began to return, [b](C)beating their breasts. 49 (D)And all His acquaintances and (E)the women who accompanied Him from Galilee were standing at a distance, seeing these things.

47 The centurion, seeing what had happened, praised God(A) and said, “Surely this was a righteous man.” 48 When all the people who had gathered to witness this sight saw what took place, they beat their breasts(B) and went away. 49 But all those who knew him, including the women who had followed him from Galilee,(C) stood at a distance,(D) watching these things.
