New Matthew Bible
24 and Pilate gave sentence that it should be as they required, 25 and released to them the one who for insurrection and murder had been cast into prison, whom they desired, and delivered Jesus to do with him what they would. 26 And as they led him away, they caught one Simon of Cyrene coming out of the field, and on him they laid the cross, to bear it after Jesus.

New International Version
24 So Pilate decided to grant their demand. 25 He released the man who had been thrown into prison for insurrection and murder, the one they asked for, and surrendered Jesus to their will.

26 As the soldiers led him away, they seized Simon from Cyrene,(B) who was on his way in from the country, and put the cross on him and made him carry it behind Jesus.(C)
