17 But [a]Jesus looked at them and said, “What then is this that is written:
18 (C)Everyone who falls on that stone will be broken to pieces; but on whomever it falls, it will scatter him like dust.”

19 The scribes and the chief priests (D)tried to lay hands on Him that very hour, and they feared the people; for they understood that He spoke this parable against them.

18 Everyone who falls on that stone will be broken to pieces; anyone on whom it falls will be crushed.”(B)
19 The teachers of the law and the chief priests looked for a way to arrest him(C) immediately, because they knew he had spoken this parable against them. But they were afraid of the people.(D)
