26 It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not experience death before he had seen the Christ of the Lord.
27 Prompted by the Spirit, Simeon came into the temple. When the parents brought in the child Jesus to do for him what was required by the Law, 28 he took him in his arms and praised God, saying:

When the parents brought in the child Jesus to do for him what the custom of the Law required,(A) 28 Simeon took him in his arms and praised God, saying:
