23 (A)as it is written in the law of the Lord: “Every first-born male is to be dedicated to the Lord.” 24 (B)They also went to offer a sacrifice of a pair of doves or two young pigeons, as required by the law of the Lord.
25 At that time there was a man named Simeon living in Jerusalem. He was a good, God-fearing man and was waiting for Israel to be saved. The Holy Spirit was with him

New International Version
23 (as it is written in the Law of the Lord, “Every firstborn male is to be consecrated to the Lord”[a]),(A) 24 and to offer a sacrifice in keeping with what is said in the Law of the Lord: “a pair of doves or two young pigeons.”[b](B)
25 Now there was a man in Jerusalem called Simeon, who was righteous and devout.(C) He was waiting for the consolation of Israel,(D) and the Holy Spirit was on him.
