46 saying to them, “It is written, ‘My house will be a house of prayer,’[a] but you have made it ‘a den of thieves.’[b]”
47 He taught daily in the temple. But the chief priests, the scribes, and the leaders of the people tried to kill Him. 48 Yet they could not find a way to do it, for all the people were very attentive to hear Him.

47 Every day he was teaching at the temple.(C) But the chief priests, the teachers of the law and the leaders among the people were trying to kill him.(D) 48 Yet they could not find any way to do it, because all the people hung on his words.
