46 and he said, “It is written, my house will be a house of prayer,(A) but you have made it a den of thieves!”[a](B)
47 Every day he was teaching(C) in the temple. The chief priests, the scribes, and the leaders of the people were looking for a way to kill(D) him, 48 but they could not find a way to do it, because all the people(E) were captivated by what they heard.
